Amongst the accomplishments I am proudest of, I count my role as one of five co-founders of TheFilmSchool. Certainly, it is one of the only instances I’ve experienced during which talk has led to action leading to actual achievement of the goals originally set. TheFilmSchool‘s three-week intensive is the populist response to the Sundance Institute, a chance for aspiring screenwriters to question their calling, then hone their craft within the comforting confines of a mentor-based haven. (A new session begins in March. Click here to apply. And, later this month, graduates and the prepared ought consider Substance & Sale, TheFilmSchool‘s weekend intensive for those ready to advance their careers.)
Moving Pictures Magazine recently published a short, yet insightful, article about TheFilmSchool, focusing on three of my colleagues, Tom Skerritt, Stewart Stern and John Jacobsen. I link to it here both for your edification and my self-esteem. Enjoy.
