This week, The Warren Report had the honor of screening Drew Emery’s INLAWS & OUTLAWS, an emotionally-charged documentary that celebrates the sanctity of love while gently suggesting the sanctity of marriage should be available for all couples, regardless of orientation. This weekend, The Northwest Film Forum hosts an exclusive screening of “for my wife…”, an appropriate companion piece that underscores the necessity for these equal marital rights. Kick off Pride weekend at the screening of “for my wife…”
A Love Story on Marriage Equality.
Join newly appointed Human Rights Commissioner Charlene Strong this Sunday, June 21 at the screening of this award-winning emotionally charged film, which takes a personal viewpoint on the national debate for Same-Sex marriage rights.
“for my wife…” is the story of the making of an activist and Charlene Strong’s inspiring journey to find resolution in the aftermath of the death of her wife,
Kate Fleming.
The screening will be held at the Northwest Film Forum with an after-party at the Wild Rose. Tickets are $10 for both the film and party.
Charlene Strong is this year’s Grand Marshall for the Gay Pride Parade. She joins filmmakers David Rothmiller and LD Thompson for a brief Q&A following the film.
