The bees envy me: MY GIRL, too?

Maybe Anna Chlumsky needs a little TLC. After all, she is CrazySexyCool. Yup, that Anna Chlumsky. From MY GIRL. Who was fixated with Death. Who wore a mood ring. Who kissed Macaulay Culkin. (But whose lips were bee-stung?) Anna’s all grown up and co-starring in IN THE LOOP which opened this year’s over-stuffed edition of The Seattle International Film Festival. The movie is sharp, funny, fast-paced. It’s The West Wing, had that show been written by Christopher Hitchens… and Sam Kinison.

Anna Chlumsky was also The Warren Report’s first SIFF guest now that we have set up our “mini-studio” at Seattle’s swankiest hotel, The Pan Pacific, for the run of the fest. We’ll be there daily recording interviews, video blogs and updates about visiting filmmakers, my movie tips and other hi-brow/low-brow cultural shenanigans. 

Right now, The Warren Report’s fully committed and, possibly, certifiable Technical Director, Aaron McIntosh, is editing my chat with Ms. Chlumsky which he hopes to share with all of us later today or tomorrow. For now, you’ll need to content yourself with a few frame captures… including my fave, in which the talented young actress is stupefied by my socks.
